Nauradehi Wildlife Sanctuary
The largest wildlife sanctuary in Madhya Pradesh is Nauradehi Wildlife Sanctuary which covers an area of about 1,197 square kilometers. Spanning across four districts Raisen, Narsinghpur, Damoh, and Sagar, this sanctuary is home to several birds and animals. While exploring it, you might get a glimpse of birds like vultures, cranes, owls, kingfishers, doves, kites, and more.
In the fauna section, you can see Bengal tiger, striped hyena, Bengal fox, golden jackals, Indian leopard, nilgai, grey langur, and rhesus macaque along with others. You might also come across a few reptiles here like tortoises, monitor lizards, turtles, snakes, and mugger crocodiles.
