Kheoni Wildlife Sanctuary
Located in the Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh, Kheoni Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the top wildlife sanctuaries in MP. It might be a surprise for some people to know that it is connected to Ratapani Wildlife Sanctuary through hidden corridors. The area of 132 square kilometers of this sanctuary houses leopards, tigers, jackals, hyenas, jungle cats, blackbuck, chital, nilgai, four-horned antelope, sambar, chinkara, palm civet, barking deer, and several other animals. Apart from this, it is also home to around 125 different bird species and some other birds like the laughing dove, black drongo, Indian paradise flycatcher, plum-headed parakeet, and more.
