The Terraced Gardens of Chandigarh is a famous and much-loved tourist attraction that is located in Sector 33 of the main city. Chrysanthemum Show at Terraced Garden

The Chrysanthemum Show, more popularly known as the Chandigarh Flower Festival, is a grand event that takes place at the Terraced Gardens every year and offers people a chance to experience and view the diverse cultures and flowers of Punjab and Haryana at a single location.

The Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh organizes the festival in December each year; and at the time of this festival, different varieties of Chrysanthemum flowers are put on display for the visitors to see and appreciate. Government bodies, nurseries, and other relevant institutions are also invited to be a part of this grand exhibition.

The exhibition does not focus only on a particular group but has something or the other to offer to all its visitors. Other than the flowers on display, one can also see attractions such as animal figures made out of flowers, Rangolis made out of flowers, spectacular flower arrangements, statues showcasing the culture of Punjab, and flower exhibitions amongst others.

An exciting quiz on flowers, with particular emphasis on Chrysanthemums, is also conducted and is followed by cultural programs and prize distribution ceremonies. Not just flowers, visitors also get to taste delicious food from different states to satisfy their cravings. The Chrysanthemum Flower Show is indeed a winter treat, and thousands of people look forward to this show each year.
