Sunabeda Wildlife Sanctuary

Sunabeda Wildlife Sanctuary, also known as the Tiger Reserve, has expanded over 500 square km. It is a shelter for diversified flora and fauna, filled with a wide plateau, waterfalls, and a canyon. The wildlife at this sanctuary is far better than that of the other sanctuaries. It consists of an area of watershed attaching the Jonk River, and it has a dam to facilitate irrigation.

It is diversified with rich animals such as tigers, deer, sloth bears, gaurs, and many more. You can witness some of the common Langur (a species of monkey) and rhesus monkeys. This sanctuary is enriched with migratory birds as well as other birds such as Patridge, vultures, hill mynah, and peafowls.

This sanctuary also has an interesting species of wild buffaloes from the neighboring forest of Chhattisgarh. Sunabeda Wildlife Sanctuary is a great choice for the adventurous traveler who wants a distinct wildlife experience.
