Ramchandi Beach
Located at a distance of 65 km from Bhubaneswar, Ramachandi is a beautiful beach situated on the confluence of the mighty Bay of Bengal and the vivacious River Kushabhadra. At a distance of just 7 km from Konark, and with the construction of the Marine Drive Road, the beach is easily accessible and is frequented mostly by picnickers, young couples, and college students apart from regular tourists.
Ramachandi Beach boasts shimmering silver sands, clear indigo waters, and tall towering palm trees. Named after the presiding deity of Konark, Goddess Ramachandi, the pristine beach is still unexploited, isolated, and clear of turbulent waters. People mostly visit it to witness the mesmerizing sunrise and sunsets from here.

As Konark is located at a distance of just 5 km from Ramachandi and is considered the pious land of temples, you can pay homage to the gods and goddesses. Stoll on the beautiful beach, and collect the coral shells as a keepsake. Since the beach is at the confluence of River Kushabhadra and the Bay of Bengal, the currents are pretty mild.
You can swim or sail in the waters. Traditional rowing boats are available at the shore that can take you for a round in the waters. Surfing is a major activity at Ramachandi Beach. The beach is also ideal for water activities like motor boating, scuba diving, jet skiing, water skiing, etc.
Ramachandi Festival
Ramachandi festival is celebrated in September and October. This festival is full of activities where you can indulge in several water activities like surfing, sailing, and boating. Several artistic sand arts are created and showcased which leaves the viewer awestruck. During the festival, this place bustles with a large number of people, and the whole place is enveloped in joy and happiness.
