Debrigarh Wildlife Sanctuary
Debrigarh Wildlife Sanctuary is in Bargarh district, Odisha, India which is spread over 346.91 sq km of dry deciduous mixed forests.
It is an important site for in-situ conservation of wildlife and its habitat in the state of Odisha is home to an immense array of biodiversity, a large number of species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fishes, odonates, butterflies, and spiders are found here, over 40 species of mammals, 234 species of birds, 41 species of reptiles, 12 species of amphibians, 42 species of fishes, 39 species of odonates, 85 species of butterflies and 38 species of spiders and extremely important in the national context because of significant population of Schedule-I species like Leopard, Indian Gaur and Four-horned Antelope.
It is also home to over 250 plant species, many of which have ethnobotanical and medicinal value. The deciduous forests and its eco-sensitive zone attract the nature lovers of Odisha and neighboring states every year. Here eco-tourism Cottages and boating facilities are also available for visitors.
