The beautiful stretch of golden sands and swinging palm trees at Payyoli Beach, in Kozhikode can take your breath away with its astounding surroundings and pleasant atmosphere. Located on the North Malabar Coast of Kozhikode district in the South Indian state of Kerala, this exquisite beach spot has shallow waters, that border Velliyamkallu.

The sea here is extremely beautiful and offers calm surroundings to swimmers and to people, who are interested in other water activities. This beach is significant in many ways and it attracts a large number of tourists every year. During November and December, hordes of the endangered Olive Ridley turtles come to this place to lay eggs.

A lot of tourists visit this place to catch a glimpse of these beautiful turtles and to check a nature conservation center, 'Theeram', started by the fishermen to save these turtles.
