Anandpur Dham Welcomes PM Modi in Ashoknagar District

On Friday, April 11, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Anandpur Dham in the Ashoknagar district of Madhya Pradesh.

During his visit, he:

  • Performed Darshan and Pooja: He offered prayers at the Guru Ji Maharaj Temple within the Anandpur Dham complex.
  • Toured the Temple Complex: He explored the grounds of Anandpur Dham.
  • Addressed a Gathering: He spoke to devotees who had traveled from various parts of the country, including Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab. He expressed his happiness at visiting the sacred site.
  • Highlighted the Significance of Anandpur Dham: He spoke about the spiritual importance of the land, nurtured by the penance of saints and known for its tradition of altruism and service to humanity. He quoted saints who said that sorrow hesitates to enter Ashoknagar.
  • Participated in Celebrations: He expressed his joy in participating in the Baisakhi celebrations and the birth anniversary of Shri Guru Maharaj Ji. He paid respects to the first Padshahi Shri Shri 108 Shri Swami Advait Anand Ji Maharaj and other Padshahi saints.
  • Spoke about the Teachings and Service Initiatives: He recalled his earlier discussions about the teachings of the first Padshahi Paramhans Dayal Maharaj Ji and the service initiatives of Anandpur Dham. He emphasized the five principles of meditation established there, with selfless service being a key one.
  • Praised the Anandpur Trust: He acknowledged the trust's work in running hospitals, organizing free medical camps, managing a modern cowshed, and operating schools. He also appreciated their contribution to environmental conservation.
  • Emphasized the Importance of Service: He described selfless service as a spiritual practice and highlighted the responsibility of developing regions like Ashoknagar and Anandpur Dham, recognizing their rich heritage and potential.
  • Mentioned Development Efforts: He spoke about efforts to boost progress in Madhya Pradesh and Ashoknagar, including the GI tag for Chanderi sarees and the establishment of a Craft Handloom Tourism Village in Pranpur.

About Anandpur Dham:

  • It is located in the Isagarh Tehsil of Ashoknagar district, Madhya Pradesh, about 30 km from the district headquarters and 215 km from Bhopal.
  • It is a spiritual and philanthropic center established by the Shri Anandpur Trust.
  • The complex spans 315 hectares and includes a modern cowshed with over 500 cows and agricultural activities.
  • The trust also operates a charitable hospital in Sukhpur village, schools in Sukhpur and Anandpur, and Satsang centers across the country.

This visit was Prime Minister Modi's second to Madhya Pradesh this year.
