Israelis Outraged: Protests Erupt Against Military and Netanyahu Over Gaza Bombing
Mass protests erupted in Tel Aviv as hundreds of Israelis took to the streets to condemn the resumption of IDF airstrikes on Gaza. Demonstrators lit bonfires, beat drums, and called for action to bring hostages home. They also criticized Prime Minister Netanyahu for allegedly planning to dismiss Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar, accusing him of prioritizing political survival over national security.
After overnight Israeli airstrikes killed over 400 Palestinians, Netanyahu defended the military action, stating, "Hamas is responsible for the fighting, and this is just the beginning." He further stated that negotiations with Hamas would only occur under fire.
