Naulakha Mandir
Naulakha Mandir is situated at a distance of around 2 km from Baba Baidyanath Temple. Possessing similar architecture to Ramakrishna Temple in Belur, the shrine encompasses beautiful idols of Radha and Krishna ranging about 146 ft in height.
The name of the temple is derived from the amount spent on its construction, which was donated by Rani Charushila, a queen of the Pathuria Ghat royal family, Kolkata. Making a total cost of around nine lakh rupees, the temple received its name as Naulakha.
The temple was constructed on the advice of Balananda Brahmachari, a saint whose idol is also enshrined in the temple. It is believed that the queen left her home after the sudden death of her husband, Akshay Ghosh, and son, Jatindra Ghosh. Depressed with the sorrowful fate, the queen met the saint who asked her to construct this temple.

Architecture of Naulakha Mandir
Naulakha Mandir was constructed by Charushila, the queen of Pathuria. She left worldly pleasures after the untimely demise of her husband, King Akshay, and son Jathindra. As per the folklore, this temple was constructed by a donation of nine lakh rupees that gave the name Naulakha to it.
It is beautifully constructed with detailed carvings done on the exterior as well as interior walls. The idols of various Hindu Gods are installed in the temple. The sanctum houses the beautiful Swaroop of Sri Radha-Krishna.

The best time to visit Naulakha Mandir is from October to March when the weather is relatively cool and pleasant. However, the temple is open throughout the year, and visitors can choose to go during festivals like Janmashtami for a more vibrant and festive experience.
