History
Formerly, a residence to the Royal family, the Naggar castle was later occupied by British forces. It was built by Raja Sidh Singh in 1460 A.D. After being taken into the Englishmen's control; the castle went under certain modifications. An additional staircase, fireplaces, and chimneys are a few things that were added. The whole villa today stands as an amalgamation of English and Indian Architecture.
Architecture
The unique mansion also houses a temple which could be seen in the courtyard. This is popularly known as Jagti Patt. Though with time several renovations took place, the castle has managed to keep its historical instinct alive.
