Betul Beach, Goa
Betul Beach is a serene and peaceful beach located next to Mobor Beach in South Goa. This beautiful beach rests right at the delta of Sal River, thus affording a gorgeous view of the serene sea. The beach itself has soft silvery sand, fringed by looming fruit trees and swaying palms. The foothills of the Western Ghats form the backdrop of Betul Beach, offering a 360-degree natural panorama.
A small lagoon also exists at this beach. A walk to the Betul lighthouse along the fascinating coastline is sure to inspire a new sense of admiration for this natural beauty. One can also see the majestic Betul fort from this location, located on a hill that overlooks the Southern coast. By the beach, one can find many fishing boats and ocean trawlers as Betul is a fishing village. Being a slightly offbeat and more peaceful beach, one will not see beach shacks as is prevalent across Goa. However, the seafood at Betul is quite amazing, with some of Goa's finest and largest mussels being found here.
