Sajnekhali Wildlife Sanctuary
Sajnekhali Bird Wildlife Sanctuary is a mangrove forest. This sanctuary has not yet been recognized as a national park. But in 1976 it was declared a sanctuary. Sajnekhali Wildlife Sanctuary is part of the Sundarbans National Park in the Sundarbans Delta, with an area of only 362 km². It is a bird-watching site along the Sundarbans Tiger Reserve.
Sajnekhali Bird Wildlife Sanctuary is famous for its various birds. This forest includes the Sajnekhali Watch Tower. You can get a better view of the entire forest by standing in this Watch Tower. You can see the beauty of the surrounding green mangrove forest with your own eyes. We all love natural beauty. If you want to see nature with your own eyes, you must visit the Sundarbans.
You will also find a hall called the Mangrove Interpretation Center. There are various galleries in this hall. Details of various animals are displayed in these galleries. Upon entering the hall you will see a large round artificial world, galleries decorated with glass and lighting, paintings of various creatures and their details. It is located in the South Twenty-four Parganas district of West Bengal, India.
Sajnakhali Wildlife Sanctuary Biodiversity is developing mainly due to the flow of the Matla and Gumdi rivers. This sanctuary maintains the ecological balance of the Sundarbans. Different species of wildlife live throughout the region. Your most notable are Batagur Terrapins, Caspian Torn, Common Iora, Crocodile, Deer, Fishing Cat, Green Pigeon, Heron, Kingfisher, Lapwings, Lizard, Night Heron, Olive Ridley Turtle, Oriole, Otter, Openbill, Pallas Fish Eagle, Pelican, Peregrine Falcon, Rhesus Macaw, Sandpipers, Tiger, White-bellied Sea Eagle, White Ibis & wild boar etc. There are crocodile enclosures, shark ponds, and a turtle hatchery for visitors. You will see everything up close.
