Falta Beach
After talking about all the sea beaches in West Bengal, let us delve into the state’s riverside beaches. Falta Beach is one of the most notable beaches in the state, not situated by the sea. This beach is located by the Hooghly River in a tiny South 24 Pgns district of Bengal.
Falta has some historical significance in West Bengal as it served as the shelter for the British during their war with Siraj-Ud-Daula in 1756. Moreover, even before Falta was a prominent site of a Dutch factory in India. If you visit the beach, the vastness of the Hoogly River will make you forget that it is not a sea or an ocean.
The alluvial soil of the beach allows tourists to cycle or walk along the river without any problem. Even though there are no sightseeing sites near this beach, spending a day would provide you with the much-needed rest you require in your daily life.
