Nehru Park, Delhi

Tuesday to Sunday, the park is open from 5 am to 9 pm. On Mondays, it is open 24 hours.

There is no entry fee to the park for adults, children, or senior citizens. You can visit it during opening hours without any charges.

During the summer months, that is, from April to July - the sun is unbearable and it is impossible to enjoy the lush greenery of the place.

On the other hand, during winters, that is, from December to March - it is cold and there is no point stepping out of the house.

However, if you do happen to visit during other seasons, make sure you go to the park during the evenings when the weather is still slightly pleasant compared to the mornings and afternoons.

Chanakyapuri has 2 metro stations - Jor Bagh and Lok Kalyan Marg. The closest station to Nehru Park is Jor Bagh.

You can take a purple line metro from the airport to reach Dhaula Kuan. After that, you have to change to a yellow line metro to reach Chanakyapuri, the area where the park is located.

And then, you have to take a rickshaw from the station to reach the park.You can also hire a cab or book online for direct transit if you do not want to go through the hassle of changing metros. However, this is an expensive option that will also be more time-consuming. On the other hand, you can also take a State Transport Bus to reach the park from the airport.

It is recommended to visit the park during spring, that is, from August to November, when everything is in bloom and the cool wind makes the atmosphere pleasant enough to enjoy the natural beauty. Delhi is famous for its extreme heat and extreme cold. So it does not make sense to visit the park during either of the extremes.
