Jamia Masjid is one of the landmarks of K.R. The market in Bengaluru (Bangalore). The exquisite marble architecture of Jamia Masjid draws a lot of attention in the locality. Its impressive design and five-story structure were planned and constructed by Rayyaz Asifuddin in 1940. History of Jamia Masjid, Bangalore
Jumma Masjid, the oldest mosque in the city, was previously known as the Sangeen Jamia Masjid. The prayer hall within the premises is erected on an elevated ground that stands on ornate granite pillars.
According to historians, the mosque was established around 1789-1790 by Mughal King. The religious monument is popular, Whitish with elaborate jali-work and floral motifs. Jumma Masjid comprises twin ornamented minarets in spherical domes.

There are magnificent twin minarets inside the masjid that stretch up to the spherical domes above the balconies. These minarets have been ornamented with a graceful assembly of a large number of pigeonholes. A few years back, a delicate pattern, previously concealed under successive layers of white paint, was discovered inside the Jumma Masjid of Bangalore.
