IPL 2023 Playoffs
After two months of exacting action, the 2023 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is entering its business end as the playoffs are upon us. After arguably the craziest race to reach the competition’, we finally know the four teams that have made the final stages.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 playoffs are fast approaching with league stages boiling down. Gujarat Titans were the first team to confirm their place and finished in the top spot.
They have been joined by Chennai Super Kings, Lucknow Super Giants, and Mumbai Indians.
IPL 2023 Playoffs Format:
Defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) have finished first, while Chennai Super Kings (CSK) beat third-placed Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on net run rate (NRR) to finish second, which will mean they have two chances of making the finals. The fight for the fourth spot is between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI) went to the last day but MI's win over Sunrisers Hyderabad and RCB's loss to GT sealed the five-time champions' entry into the playoffs.
The first qualifier (Q1) will see GT face CSK at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, with the winner of the tie assured of a place in the final. Meanwhile, the eliminator set for the same venue will see LSG face MI, with the loser being knocked out of the competition, while the winner is set to face the loser of Q1 in the second qualifier (Q2). The winners of Q2 and Q1 will play the final at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium.

FINAL: Winner of Qualifier 1 vs Winner of Qualifier 2 - May 28, Sunday - 7:30 PM IST, Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad
The summit clash will be held on May 28 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
