Eco Camp situated at the fringes of the Nameri National Park is an avid camper's ideal getaway. Apart from birding, trekking, and angling, it offers local cuisines. Eco Camp has thatched tented accommodation and equipment for rafting and angling. There are private resorts in the vicinity too, offering tents, cottages, and dormitories with basic facilities. Bird-watching is a bonus for anglers and rafting enthusiasts who frequent Nameri.

Similar camps organized by private parties at Dibru-Saikhowa National Park in the Tinsukia district are embellished with ethnic flavors.

The Eco Camp at Nameri and private resorts on the riverbank while ATDC Ltd has a tourist lodge at Bhalukpong 25km away. For Dibru-Saikhowa, there is a forest bungalow (Guijan) and a resort (Padumoni) outside the park.

Nameri National Park is located in the foothills of the eastern Himalayas, in the Sonitpur district of Assam. 25 km from Bhalukpong, Nameri shares its boundaries with the Pakhui Wildlife Sanctuary of Arunachal Pradesh towards the north. Nameri was declared a national park in 1998 and Pakhui- Nameri was declared an interstate tiger reserve under Project Tiger in 1999. Both Nameri and Pakhui tiger reserves together share an area of 1000 sq. Km.

The Nameri National Park is spread across a total area of 200 square kilometers and is lined by the Jia Bhoreli river on its western and southern boundaries whereas, the Bor Dikrai River forms the eastern boundary. The surrounding villages of the national park are home to the Missing tribe, an ethnic group of people belonging to one of Assam’s indigenous communities. The Missing is an Indo-Mongoloid group also referred to as Miris and is the second-largest ethnic group in Assam.

Nameri is home to around 370 different species of birds that are endemic to this region along with other mammals and reptiles. The white-winged duck is the most prominent species and is spotted in abundance. Apart from being a tiger reserve, the major attractions of wildlife also include Elephants, Leopards, Black Bear, Indian Bison, Indian Giant Squirrels, Capped Langurs, Deers, Clouded Leopards, Asiatic Wild Dog, Pygmy Hog (critically endangered suid), Wild Boar, Sloth Bear and Himalayan Black Bear.
